STATE OF NEW YORK     )
COUNTY OF NEW YORK) SS:-

SIMEON J. TROPP, being duly sworn, says:

I am a physician duly licensed to practice as such and one of the applicants for leave to intervene.
I was born in 1896 and attended the Baron de Hirsch Agricultural School. From 1913 to 1916, I attended the University of Valparaiso in Indiana. From 1916 to 1920, I attended the New York University School of Engineering from where I was graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering. From 1920 to 1921, I continued post graduate studies in education .at Columbia University.
From 1926 to 1933, I studied at the University of Vienna Medical School from where I was graduated in 1933 with a degree of Doctor of Medicine.
During 1932 and 1933, 1 worked at the First Medical Clinic of the University of Vienna, and from 1934 to 1938, I was a full resident at the First Surgical Clinic of Vienna under Prof. Finsterer.
From 1933 to 1938, I did post graduate work under the Medical Association of Vienna, and from 1934 to 1938, I was in Freudian analysis with Dr. Edmund Bergler.
I was licensed to practice in New York City in 1939, and did mostly surgery until some time in 1940, when I began a general practice and surgery in New York City, which continued until 1949.
In 1946, I began training and studies with Dr. Wilhelm Reich in orgonomy, and in 1949 I gave up my general and surgical practice to take full time work with the Wilhelm Reich Foundation. This consisted of scientific studies, reports and experiments and continued until the Fall of 1953, when I resumed my practice in New York City.
As this Court can see, my background in the various fields of science and medicine is varied and as a result of my background, scientific studies and experience, I have come to the conclusion that orgonomy is a valid science based upon valid principles and that the use of the orgone energy accumulator in medical therapy is a valid use.
As a matter of fact, since I have resumed the practice of medicine in New York, I have employed these principles in the belief that this was the best therapy for patients. The operation of the injunction serves to curtail and handicap me in the practice of my profession and the earning of my livelihood. It keeps from me important and necessary scientific reports and evaluations. It prevents me from reporting to other physicians and other scientists my discoveries.
Such a result is a direct attack upon my rights and these rights have not been adequately represented in the present proceeding, although the questions of law and fact in my situation and those in the main proceeding are exactly alike.

I respectfully request this Court for a leave to intervene on the grounds set forth in more detail in the affidavit of Dr. James A. Willie.
