To whom it may concern, I am, without a doubt, a believer in the existence of Orgone energy. I have read Dr. Reich's book The Oranur Experiment and my grandfather once had the opportunity to meet Dr. Reich and see his laboratory. I also believe that Orgone has the ability to heal people (or help them heal themselves). I believe this not only from what I know of Dr. Reich's theories, but I also practice martial arts and have been exposed to the ideas of Chi (or Ki). People have used Chi to heal for centuries and I believe Chi and Orgone to be the same thing (same energy).

I read the article (on the web) about building an orgone pillow. What healing effects could be expected from using one (I understand this is very general and could be difficult to answer)? Also, my grandparents have a cat who has been diagnosed with FIP (a disease similar to AIDS). Would you reccomend allowing the cat to lay on the pillow? Might it help, or would it be unwise? Please respond, the cat isn't even a year old, but its days are growing short. The vet. is not optimistic about its future. Thank you for any help you could offer.

I recently read "The Cancer Biopathy" by Wilhelm Reich, and it raised some questions. Does anybody have plans for a better orgone meter, now that we have transistors instead of '50's vacuum tubes? Also, has anybody bothered to use this meter to determine exactly which materials, thickness and number of layers and overall accumulator dimensions provide the strongest concentration of orgone? Has anybody tried putting a bion pack or other highly charged substance in an accumulator? Finally, did he ever build the motor that runs of an orgone accumulator? The information I'm asking for would be helpful in an attempt to build a powerful accumulator as efficiently as possible, if the orgone theory is right. I think it would be possible to do the T-To experiment that Reich did with a stronger accumulator and get a temperature differential large enough that nobody could say that it was heat convection or error in measurement. Has anybody tried to maximize T-To by using a more powerful accumulator or extra source of orgone? It seems surprising to me that I haven't come across any of this information in my reading so far, and that, to my knowledge, little attempt has been made to quantify this stuff.

Hi, I would like to join the forum..

We have an Orgone accumulator pyramid that is free to whomever wants to haul it away. It needs some work to clean it up and minor repairs. I t can be disassembled but it is large. Each of the 4 triangles is about 7 feet (2+ m.) on a side, and they are heavy. It would be a shame if this one ended up on the dump, which we will be forced to do in 2 weeks. I .think from what I know of the price of accumulators, this one would be worth shipping a long way.

I am located in Orinda, CA (near Berkeley in the San Fran. Bay area).

I don't know how widespread this information is, but Wilhelm Reich did give some cautions about using OR. Presumably, after doing intensive experiments with OR, Mr Reich woke the next morning with a case of nausea, headache, and anemia. He also mentioned that some people who have had an overdose of OR show similar symptoms of leukemia (of course, there has been no documentation of anyone actually *getting* leukemia from an overdose of OR). However, he also mentioned that after the overdose wore off, his eyesight was considerably clearer.

I wish I had all my references here in Seattle instead of back in Maine...

Anyways, I would suggest some discussion on side effects of too much orgone energy. I have myself suffered mild symptoms from an overdose after playing around with an accumulator too long.

To whoever this may concern,
    I have just recently been introduced to Wilhelm Reich and his dicoveries; not to mention the rebirth of his investigations into the life energy. So, there is a lot of information that I don't know on this. However, I am ecstatic about centralising orgonomy into other studies that I am persuing. My name is Michael Gries, I am !7 years-old and have taken my G.E.D. (escaping from the mental ward they call high school) in order to persue these studies. These are many things, including chinese science and medicine, Tibetan mysticism, theatre, orgonomy, and mythology. NO, I AM NOT A NEW AGE FREAK AND I DO NOT BUY INTO ANY OF THAT GLITZY STUFF. If anything, I am more of a philosopher: I get high off of ideas.
    To get to the point, I have a lot that I wish to learn and discuss, so I will begin simply in this message, because I don't want to say too much all in a big pile of a message, and then I would like to exchange and share more with any body who is interested in exploring and applying these ideas and theories. First of all, I would like to know if anyone has done experiments investigating the flow of orgone within the earth along known meridians and centers of energy. Please, let me explain: (Remember, I am a philosopher, if I belong in a category, and I do not want to put off any scientists or other philosophers, thinking I am some New Ager out to spiritualize the world. I want to interact with everybody) I have been for a long time interested in what was the purpose of Reich's experiments: tapping into the life energy for the purpose of 'fine-tuning' the human civilisation so that we may unlock a relationship to nature and the cosmos. This relationship then may manifest a greater harmony with nature and ourselves. This is now MY purpose in life. The chinese have understood a great deal about the life energy for centuries. It is their understanding that it is taken into the body through breath and travels along known meridians where it then radiates and flows through every cell in the body, governing and conceptualising the life processes. The meridians are just like rivers in that their pathways are always meandering in different directions in different people, however the fluctuation in the flows are microscopic, so the chinese just keep them in straight lines.     Sydney and Jone Baggs say something interesting on this in their book: The Healthy House: "Said to have been practised in China for 5000 or so years, acupuncture deals with the movement of ch'i as it flows along what are known as meridians in the human body. The meridians are the pathways which connect 365 acupuncture points on the skin with the specific organs of the body. While meridians do not exist in the same physiological sense as veins and nerves do, there is a perceptible decrease in the skin's electrical resistivity for a few millimeters (approximately 1/10 of an inch) around the acupuncture points. Ch'i circulates around the body, through these meridians, 50 times a day.
    "In an experiment conducted by two French doctors, Darras and Devernejoul (Darras 1986), a solution containing a radioactive isotope (technetium) was injected into an acupuncture point and the movement of the radioactivity was traced using a gamma-ray camera. The velocity at which the radioactive material moved through the body was 3-5 centimeters (1-2 inches) per minute, which correlates with the rate of ch'i circulation through the body predicted by the acupuncturists. The radioactive material moved along the paths recognised by acupuncture as the ch'i-carrying meridians of the body. It did not enter the blood or lymphatic systems, actually passed through a tourniquet, and diffused in the direction of the target organ. The rate of diffusion increased when the relevant acupuncture point was stimulated by a needle. The 'dragon path' of ch'i had been identified. It leads one to question whether it may be possible in the future to detect a similar meridian network in the body of the Earth. Only time will tell."
    The chinese, in their understanding of ch'i, realised that when emotional traumas or blockages took place within the individual, corresponding disturbances and blockages manifested within the flows of ch'i throughout the whole body, bringing physiological and psychological illnesses.. They treated this through many different understandings and variations of their knowledge of ch'i and yin and yang, such as yoga, meditation, and acupuncture. The basics of acupuncture dirctly corresponds to Reich's theory of the cosmic superimpositions of orgone energy flows in that a matrix of needles are set in the flesh to puncture all the acupuncture points (they need not reach the actual centers of ch'i, which are about an inch under the skin, but need only to go a few centimeters to attract the energy). This matrix then works together with the will or faith of the doctor and the will or faith of the patient, setting up a spiral movement of the ch'i around each needle, making the ch'i move faster and faster, and become more and more concentrated, building up a charge until they release it. These charges then balance all flows, flushing out all the blockages.
    In the west, another ancient chinese practise has migrated and adopted. This practice is called the art of feng-shui, and deals with the understanding of the energy flows on the surface of the planet and how to live in harmony with them. All the ancient dynasties, kingdoms, cities, villages, and even tombs were built according to feng-shui principles for the purpose of an energy flow that would bring wealth, prosperity, and peace to their whole civilisation. Basically, one must have an understanding of the present astological cycles, correlate them to the patterns of the surrounding countryside, and then understand the landscape's relation to the visible positions and present cycles of the stars, sun, and moon in order to understand the energy flow within the landscape. However, now in the West, people are mostly learninig simply the interior awareness of feng-shui, which deals with the currents of energy set up in the organisation of the rooms, furniture, personal belongings, and things like that.
    Now, I will conclude here. I have a great deal more that I want to talk about, but this is only supposed to be a message, so I wiIl leave this open for more discussion. However, I do really wish to know if anybody understands and has ever applied any of these to Reich's theories. Also, then done any experiments with the effect of a human being within an orgone accumulator that is built according to certain astronaumical observations, and/or observations of the landscape. Also, if ones have ever been built on cultural sacred places of the landscape. I believe that all cultures, in their past, did one time understand these things, owing to the fact that in all cultures, it seems that, globally, certain application were at least attempted; with the evidence of things like the megaliths in Britain (huge stone, circles of stone, or large stone constructions used in prehistoric 'monuments'; Stonehenge being the most awesome) costructed at cultural sacred sites, all aligned along what are known as 'ley lines', which are known to extend for miles and miles. All of these having astronaumical coordinations. This is not to mention prehistoric chambers built deep within the Earth, whose construction parrelels exactly to that of the construction of Reich's orgone accumulators. This is but one example of an ancient, world-wide phenomenon. The meridians of life-creating energy in the Earth are called the dragon currents in China. In Britain, folklore attributes the presence of dragons with the stone circles and along the ley lines. Mythology all over the world attributes dragons and serpents to the universal creative force and fertility. That is, as thay say, another story.

According to one of Reich's experiments, if vegetation is positioned on the same location where the temperature phenomenon occurs, which is directly above or on top of the accumulator, growth is accelerated beyond the normal rate. Has anyone looked into this, and if so, what conclusions have been made? Has anyone attempted to build accumulators underground, maybe beneath a greenhouse, and if so, have any effects been noticed? I'm also interested in the fact that music has been proven to accelerate growth rates of vegetation enormously. Has anyone, who practices in the field of orgonomy looked into this? I am a poet who believes that what Reich was coming to understand about liberation and psychological cleansig through sex is not restricted to the act of copulation. Being raised in a family devoted to the arts, myself included, it seems that the creative process not only matches sexual embrace, it is a form of sexual embrace that, through constant attention, always liberates one's mind and body in an equally profound way as sex has been understood to do. Has anybody looked into this and if so, have there been any effects on the creative process within the accumulator?

A short while ago, I remember seeing an insert in these pages from a person in Edinburgh, Scotland, who did not have an accumulator, but would like to use one. If you in Edinburgh are still reading these pages, please mail me.

For the rest of Britain (and overerseas travellers), mail me and feel free to visit the site of the accumulators. We have been building accumulators for the last 3 years or so, and we have made some ranging from 3-ply to a 20-ply. All the accumulators have been made from the finest materials we can find; 0000' grade steel wool, woven glass (no resins), beeswax and cellotex. They are over 5 miles away from any high voltage cables (or low voltage) and microwave emitting towers; in a garden surrounded by trees and large shrubs. We do not run this as a business, or ask for any monies, and anyone is free to come and use the accumulators.

I also make credit card size 3-ply accumulators and distribute them freely - if anyone would like one, two, some, please mail me. (UK & Ireland Only )

I will so produce a home page of the accumulator site.

I have been studying Reich for many years and have undergone Reichian therapy. My husband (who also has had Reichian therapy) and I have built a large orgone blanket and orgone shooter. We have used the blanket to offset colds and used the shooter on seeds we planted in our garden and for minor cuts and bruises. I am a science teacher and am trying to understand how Reichian principles applies to the conventional theory. I am interested in sharing experiences and thoughts with others about Reich and also the 4th Way (and how these two systems connect).

It was good to see a series of photographs revealing the construction of a cabinet-style ORAC with safety precautions as indicated by the use of hand tools and pneumatic power tools (rather than electro/magnetic power tools which can produce ORANUR and DOR if used improperly), by the use of dust masks, and by outside construction in fine weather when possible. However, the sight of a TV next to an ORAC (in one photograph) indicates a dangerous condition which should be changed immediately. ORANUR effects on human health are substantial and include psychological and biophysical effects with some people reacting much more strongly than others.

The ORAC if made and used improperly will have ill effects on the manufacturers and users of this powerful device.
