BION Forum

Dear Sirs,

I am interested in Reich experiments only in order to their approach on microscopic technologies. In fact, I think that Reich's ideas on biogenesis are not well founded. The last year , in november, I have tried some observations on bion water, repeating the experiments explained by Reich in his book "Cancer Biopathy". I observed "earth bions" by a laboratory binocular Leitz without a Koehler illumination. I have noted the bion motion and the growth of bion crystals. In the first days of october 1997, with my new microscope, a russian laboratory research instrument (BIMAM R13), with Koehler illumination and aplanatic condenser, I have repeated the oservation of the same specimen of "bion" water, stored ( for about a year ) in a firmly closed glass little bottle. Strangely, I have not seen any bacterial contamination ( very frequently present in ground decoction by bacterial sporas ). The "bion " motion was always very strong and i have found some little protozoas, in form of bean, green, slowly mobile. The observation was made by 375X (dry) and 1500X (oil immersion). I suggest you that bion observations can be useful ( as a theory of primitive cell membrane model ) only without the wrong approach of the use of optical magnifications higher 2000X. With my instrument I can obtain ( using the embedded optovar in the trinocular head ) more than 3500X, but empty strong magnifications introduce several optical aberrations, and Bions can be well observed from 375X; only it is critical to use a fully centered Koelher illuminator. I think that, on my little experience on Reich experiments,

Dark field and contrast phase observation are not useful in bion observation, due to the unavoidable creation of alos Last, for microscopic observers of Reich phenomena, it is necessary to avoid laboratory microscopes and to buy an istrument created for research: russian solutions are not very expensive, in front of the solutions mentioned in your articles.
With best regards
Pellegrino Costa

BION FORUM Hi, clearly, there is no much interest in bion research, judging by the number of mails of this forum; let me make a little provocation: if bions are not real structures, biologically active, all Reich's theory is false. I think that for Reich's followers ( I am not ) it is important to give a substantial contribution to the experiments on "orgonomic" biological structures. The problem is "what are bions?" and the way of solution is a long work of microscopical observation . I suggest to repeate the procedures of Reich's XX Experiment ( see "The Cancer Biopaty"), using a magnification power of about 2500 X, in clear field with a good immersion oil objective. Normally, bion flakes show large, motionless azur bions, but in some impredictable conditions it is possible to see the birth of a micro milieu, with strong motion of all structures; I observe this phenomenon only in few cases, but it is very interesting to see the birth of bions and very little other structures by the stroma of flakes and their strong motion in a little space between two linear flakes. Good work Pellegrino Costa
