The American College of Orgonomy Celebrates the 100th Anniversary of Wilhelm Reich's Birth at its 1997 Annual Dinner and Conference. This year the A.C.O. will honor Dr. Reich and his work in a special presentation of the history and development of his discoveries. We will also explore the future direction of the College and its many accomplishments in the science of orgonomy. This commemorative event offers a good opportunity to invite young people and others who are new to orgonomy to our annual meeting. We will again offer special student and senior rates. Watch for registration forms and other information in our summer A.C. 0. newsletter. For further information or to be added. to our mailing list, please call the A.C.O. at (908) 821-1144.

Wilhelm Reich Centennial  NEW LOCATION
Sponsor: Friends of the Institute of Noetic Sciences (FIONS) - http://www.fions.org/reich.html
Wilhelm Reich: A Re-Evaluation for a New Generation
Where: New York Academy of Medicine, 103rd Street and Fifth Avenue, in Manhattan, NY NY
For more information, call FIONS at 212-741-2207 or check mannion's web site or
send e-mail to mannionabc@aol.com

On October 31 and November 1, FIONS will honor this creative genius who was so far ahead of his time that we put him in prison (where he died on November 3, 1957) and burned his books, sadly an all-too-familiar pattern in human history for revolutionary explorers.

Guest presenters will provide background information on Reich's life and work. Among the topics to be covered are Reich's studies of the bioenergetic nature of sexuality and anxiety; his microbiological energy investigations concerning the origin of life; his discovery of orgone energy and its relation to preventive energy medicine; his cosmic orgone energy research; and his advanced mathematical gravity and antigravity equations that relate to the phenomenon of extraterrestrial space ships and space travel.

In addition to receiving information, those who join FIONS in this celebration will be able to experience some of Reich's energy devices and make simple ones for themselves.

Much of what is now known as body work, body-centered therapy, mind-body medicine and energy medicine can trace its roots back to Reich. We have gathered, therefore, a group of practitioners in a variety of energy therapies who will demonstrate such techniques as Therapeutic Touch, Reiki, and energy healing to those in attendance.

In a workshop setting, people will have an opportunity to explore and confront their own fear levels as they reach their personal limits of reality in order to grapple with the powerful human urge to drive out, remove, or suppress what we don't understand.
