There is a law in physics, which connects the wavelength of an electromagnetic radiation to its frequency: "The frequency is proportional to the inverse of the wavelength". Furthermore the bandwidth of a signal is defined on the linear scale of frequency. Combining this relation with the model of Bovis one can postulate that, in a first approximation, all damping (-) phenomena are situated between 0 and 6500 BU and the healthy (+) of the opposite polarity between 6500 BU and infinite. It happens when applying this model that one finds other values (of normally weaker intensity) at about 1/2, 1/4, ... BU, which seem to be in a harmonic relation to each other.

It should be clearly stated for prevention of any misunderstandings: these are not radio or electromagnetic waves! One rather imagines a model saying that the found phenomena would behave as em waves, not more! Evidently there are limits to the applicability of such model. The values found have a margin of inaccuracy and could even be erroneous in some occasions. Also the used expressions of oscillations, waves, energy, radiation, forces a.o. do not represent that what they are in classical physics, they are just synonyms for the invisible subtle fluid. In general one should better speak of "subtle information." This could however be of difficult understanding to some reader. (See also: Reinhold Klaus "Some ideas between dowsing and physics").

The extension of the before described linear scale of Bovis units to values far away in the milliards is difficult to obtain when using the pendulum technique. Therefore I started to ask mentally for the Bovis value in using the movement of the dowsing rod for indication of the response. An almost infinite field of subtle forces was opened to me in the course of the following years, which finally led to the domain of ghost dowsing, as this was called by the famous British dowser Tom Daves ("Dowsing - Techniques and Applications", Turnstone Books, London 1976). The correspondent (primary) subtle forces are found in the range of some 1000 of milliard units of Bovis. Finally it should be mentioned that a dowser is not only a receiver of subtle forces by interacting with those of his environment but can also act as a sender of such energies! In the following descriptions of dowsing on orgone generators I do not refer to the fine structure of energetic patterns which could be too confusing for readers who want to repeat my experiments.


2. - Orgone generators.

An iron sheet maybe of 80 by 80 cm and covered by a layer of soft material (glass- stone- cotton-wool, soft paper) represents the principle of construction and of functioning of a OG. On the metal side one finds a healthy radiation which is orgone. On the wooly side it has a damping effect. Forming a tunnel in plying that sheet, wool outside, you can dowse a healthy concentration on the inside, on the wooly outside you find a diffuse damping radiation. Such a generator, which had been in use for healing inflammation of skin on the leg of a person, was shown at the seminar. When placing the tunnel vertically on a table, the concentrated beam of orgone could be dowsed up to 6 m of distance.

Now imagine the tunnel being closed on all sides except of one, this gives you a kind of a pot. An empty and open can of 1 l of contents which was covered around and at the back by isolating wool was shown, this is a usable orgone generator. A healthy beam comes out of its inside, a diffuse damping radiation is around the wooly outside.

Closing all sides by iron sheet covered with soft material makes an orgone accumulator. Being of sufficient dimensions and having an opening side like a door it allows you to sit inside and to be irradiated by orgone while sweating.

Treatment with orgone is being used in alternative medicine against inner and outside inflammations, it should not be applied in case of hypertension and certain diseases of skin a.o.

Commercial accumulators have several layers of alternating iron and soft wool; this makes a stronger effect. The iron sheet must not be oxidized but can be galvanized. Other metals and mainly aluminum must not be used because it is considered to have unhealthy consequences.

Orgone generating devices must not be placed in technical fields like electromagnetic or nuclear radiation. The orgone generator will multiply unhealthy effects. On the other side I found indications to put healthy substances within the OG which would amplify their wholesome effects.

- The "healing cube", a construction of white marble from Carrara done by the Italian artist Enrico Natale Cotti has a strong orgone-like radiation inside, it is life-damping on the outside. The dimensions are of 2.5 m by 2.5 m on any of the sides, which are open. This cube can be found at Intra on Lake Major in Northern Italy.

- On Mount Epomeo of the isle of Ischia close to Naples, Italy, you can dowse a subtle energy similar to orgone. It is around the top of Epomeo and fills the small church of St. Nicola, which is caved in the volcanic tuff stone.

- The reproduction of a portrait of the late Dr. Hartmann by the painter of "healing pictures" Janos Makray seems to emanate this same radiation.

- Also the subtle energy of Reiki corresponds to Reich's orgone as I found by dowsing.

3. Self-made orgone generators.

a.)-- Empty iron cans (contents 0.4 l, diameter 7.5 cm, length 10.5 cm) were surrounded by one of the following materials:
- yellow stone wool for thermal isolation,
- cotton fibers for polishing a car,
- Vermiculite (a blown-up mineral granulate),
- soft toilet paper,
- soft cellular polyethylene.
        A layer of 3 cm of soft material was placed at the back of each can.
b.) -- Lengths of 10 cm and of 60 cm were cut from a galvanized iron water pipe of 1 1/2 inch of outer diameter and were closed by an iron plug on one side. They were pushed into the hole of roles of soft toilet paper. Soft material was also put behind the plug.

4. Picture.
A black-white copy in format A 4 was made from the photo of the church St. Nicola. The emanation of this picture was compared to that of the OG.

5. Dowsing.
a ) --- The values of the induced forces of the OG and the picture were found at 17,700 Bovis units and mainly at 8300 BU. Those of the OG surrounded by polyethylene were somewhat higher at 18,200 BU and mainly by 8700 BU. There were some weak harmonics at lower values. The primary subtle force was found at 128,000 milliards BU.
b ) --- The length of the radiating beam of an OG was found to represent its strength. That of three OG and of the picture had about 5 m of length during daytime. That of the OG using Vermiculite was shorter by one meter, the OG with polyethylene and the short iron pipe had 1 meter more. The beam of the long iron pipe OG reached 20 m of length.
c ) --- A diurnal variation of the beamlengths was observed. They remained almost constant from 9 o'clock a.m. (European summertime) till 5 p.m. Then a strong rise began which could reach nearly four times of the daily mean lengths at exactly sunset. This rise seemed to vary from day to day. A few minutes after the visible sunset the lengths lowered rapidly to less then 1 m at full darkness. In the morning the beamlengths started to increase after sunrise from 6 to 9 a.m.
d ) --- The lengths remained rather constant also when the sky became clouded, as long as the sun was visible through the white clouds. They retired by one to two meters when the lower side of the clouds became dark.
e ) --- The lengths reduced to some 10-cm in a darkened room. They rose to about one meter after switching on the electric light and returned to the full length at daylight. These variations lasted about 1/2 minute to be established.
f ) --- A OG which was taken to a place far away where no orgone had been experienced before almost showed no radiation at that place even in full sunlight, the beamlength was not more then a few 10 cm. It became activated when I tuned myself mentally to the primary (orgone) energy and approached the OG with the dowsing rod. One could imagine pulling out a beam of orgone from the OG when moving slowly away from it. After a few meters the rod fell off which marked the end of the beam.
g ) --- Crossing the presumed axis of the beam at a right angle with the dowsing rod allowed to determine whether the radiating beam was present or not at that point. This allowed checking for the beamlength with just a minimum of interaction with the OG.
h ) --- The OG maintained its activity at a certain location at least for a couple of days with no operator being present. This activity seemed to diminish in the course of some months.
i ) --- The difficulty of determining the beamlength and its variation should be pointed out: The induced energetic effects declined slowly and superposed each other when the strength of the primary (orgone) force rose or lowered. There was also evidence of a pulsating effect of the primary force like being that of discrete entities moving. Finally it was not possible to observe the phenomena without influencing the OG. The observer participated rather like an operator in the processes to which he seemed to interact with.

6. Particularities
a ) --- The intensity of an OG rose (length of beam) when having others "operating" together.
b ) --- Two OG placed aside generated a kind of (interference-) oscillation which became evident by an up/down movement of the dowsing rod when I was mentally tuned to either the healthy (+) or to the damping (-) energy. This was found also in a combination with the picture but not with the OG using polyethylene.
c ) --- All OG had a field of damping (-) energy of about 1 m at the side and behind. That of the long iron tube OG was however very large, so I dismantled that OG immediately.
d ) --- The picture of St. Nicola's church was the exception, it had a pure healthy (+) field around, of nearly 2 m in diameter, which looked like a small "point of cosmic energy".

7. Remarks.
-a.) -- Some people recommended not to use cotton or paper as this material absorbs humidity from the air and would reduce the efficiency of the OG. I would say that there was no difference in beamlength between OG using yellow stone wool, which is not hygroscopic, and cotton where absorbed humidity is in equilibrium with that of the ambient air. My radiesthetic experience with porous ceramic material had shown that a reduction of radiating strength (beamlength) would occur only when a larger quantity of water was absorbed.
-b.) -- It is recommended to precisely follow the specifications for construction of orgone devices which are found in literature, not to use other materials and not to perform uncontrolled experiments and to stop any activity when feeling physical or psychical fatigue. Other orgone devices have been experienced when writing these lines, the results are partly astonishing and worrying. I can just repeat these warnings which also were confirmed by other radiesthesists.

8. Recapitulation
Dowsing on orgone generators revealed the presence of positive and negative subtle forces. These were understood from the conception of a dual model of (polarized) subtle forces as life reinforcing, (healthy orgone) and as life damping. This conception of polarity completes Wilhelm Reich's vision of (+) orgone by introducing the complementary subtle force of the opposite (-) sign. It was further shown that the subtle orgone is comparable to similar life forces to be found elsewhere around (see also: ISSSEEM Glossary, "Subtle Energy", in Internet at http://twm.co.nz/glossary.html#subtle). The intensity of an OG was registered by dowsing the length of the radiating orgone beam. Evidences were found that the observer (dowser) participated mentally in the orgone generating process like an operator. The intensity seemed also being influenced by other effects namely by the intensity of the light and by an additional effect at sunset.
The results of this study raise other questions. They also could contain some uncertainties arising from dowsing errors or from the limited validity of the applied model. One should continue on other levels of consciousness in that case. The results are based on subjectively sensed investigations, which therefore cannot claim for general validity. A multitude of identical or similar experimental results obtained by others could however lead to a more general acceptance.
For this reason I want to invite other people to repeat and improve similar studies on orgone generating devices and I would appreciate to receive any comments and also other papers on such studies.

9. Epilog
--- A description of an orgone-accumulator commercialized in the US was found some weeks later, it says: "when a person with their own energy field comes into contact with an accumulating device, the two fields make contact and excite each other, creating a stronger excitation called lumination." This corresponds to my statements in chapter 5-f/i.
--- The French philosopher Omraam Mikkael Aivanhov (1900-1986), native of Bulgaria, calls "upperception" that kind of perception which can be felt following to irradiating an object by one's own energetic field. He says: "...when you feel such upperception your whole being vibrates on that same wavelength ... ("Insights to the unvisible world", nr. 228, Prosveta USA, P.O. Box 49614, Los Angeles, California 90049). Such psychic effects are often called "resonance" in esoteric papers following to its meaning in school-physics; this phenomenon can become evident when one regards a symbolic object or picture and liberates the subtle forces, which are impregnated to that figure.
--- The warnings for ev. risks when experiencing orgone might appear as exaggerated; they however correspond to similar warnings in textbooks on radiesthetic practices. Finally some lines of John Davidson (retranslated) should be given here: "...Reich was a born researcher, but one cannot discard the impression that he was bearing strong negative and self-destructive forces ... no experiment is without a personal touch ... it is impossible to say at our days how much of that energy he had been experimenting with ... was generated by himself." Sunshine illuminated the experimental setup until sunset. The horizon was far away at 5 degrees elevation.
The horizon at sunrise was at 10 degrees elevation just 2 km away. The shadow from a close-by house covered the experiment until 1/2 past 8 a.m. and all objects and the grassland were wetted by dew until 9 o'clock, then the sun's heat was prevailing.

Dr. Hartmann was the founder of the "Forschungskreis fuer Geobiologie" at Waldbrunn-W.K. in Germany and is known for his research on the human energetic yin-yang fields. He died on November 10, 1992. This picture is from the review "Wetter-Boden-Mensch" nr. 4/1995. The radiation of this reproduction seems to correspond only in part to the mentioned life force, the Bovis value at about 8000 BU could not be found.

Picture 6. - - The healing exercise of Reiki is based on evocation and manipulation of subtle forces which are apparently hidden in certain symbolic images (mandala) being attributed to the very old Oriental Buddhist tradition. The highest spiritual subtle force (185,000 milliards BU), also called force of Christ, is behind the shown figure. When a person initiated to Reiki regards or visualizes this mandala and prays for the universal healing force Cho-Ku-Rei the figure and/or the person itself are immediately filled up with that energy of 128,000 BU in forming a small point of cosmic energy (as in chap. 6-d). This is a switch symbol at the 2nd Reiki level; it is generally considered top-secret, however it was published among others in the manual of Diane Stein. ("Essential Reiki", 1995, US editor not indicated).

Diagrams. - - The daily variations of beamlengths of OG polyethylene and of the picture from church St. Nicola on July 12-13, 1997 are shown. OG polyethylene was taken for comparison with the picture in order to prevent a possible interaction. Their Bovis values were slightly different from each other.
